Happy New Year! I hope that you had a safe and wonderful time ringing in the new year with your loved ones. My 2019 was very challenging but after taking lots of time off to process everything that happened, I am ready for a new year and a new decade.
That being said, it only makes sense to have my 2020 resolutions as the first post of the new year. When you manifest your hopes and expectations for the upcoming year, you find that you’re more likely to see it all happen. This year is all about self-care, spending less and clearing clutter in all aspects of my life. Keep scrolling to see what I am focusing on this year…
Practice TM twice per day
It’s been couple of years since I learned Transcendental Meditation and it has really transformed me. I’ve been doing it in the morning and missing the afternoon session. I miss the cumulative effect TM gives me and getting back into full practice is going to be a top priority this year
Journal more
Last year I found the world of journaling. There are so many to choose from! Journaling has so many benefits for your mind and soul. I am looking forward to exploring this topic and trying many different themes of journals
Learn to be more assertive
I’d like to get to the point where I can speak in a more assertive manner and be able to express myself and my wants without having to explode or raise my voice. This is a great one for me as a mompreneur and I am sure my kids would rather have a calm, assertive mom than a neurotic one screaming at them
Practice Self-Care
Self-care was a big topic in 2019 but for me self-care is a lifestyle. Self-care is more than just pampering yourself at home, is also about mindfulness, self-love, self-parenting and healing old trauma. Expect lots of blog post on this!
Make more homemade food
I truly believe that you are what you eat and this year I really want to improve my cooking skills and hack the heck out of my meal planning. My goal is to make better and healthier meals that don’t require lots of work and cleaning after
