Marifer’s All-Natural DIY Febreze Fabric Refresher

Since finding out that manufacturers do not have to disclose the ingredients in their cleaning products, I decided to make my own. The first DIY household cleaner I wanted to make is the fabric refresher A.K.A. Febreze.  I loved how instant Febreze could get rid of bad smells but I didn’t wanted to inhale all the chemicals in it.  So I researched all-natural ingredients and tried out several recipes before finishing up my own recipe.  I’m so happy with the results.  Below please find my recipe for an anti-microbial, antibacterial, odor masking DIY Febreze:

Marifer’s DIY Febreze Fabric Spray

 Diy Febreze

// Ingredients \\
1 x 32oz Spray Bottle (Target or Dollar Store)

Water (carrier)

White Vinegar/Cleaning Vinegar (deodorizer)

20-30 drops of Lavender Essential Oil (any other oil will do) (scent)

* I don’t use alcohol like other recipes because alcohol can make fabric flammable.  Yikes!!!!

// What you do \\

  1. Use a measuring cup and start by adding 1 cup of water to the spray bottle
  2. Add 1 cup of white vinegar
  3. Add 20-30 drops of your favorite essential oil.  You can add more if you’d like
  4. Shake it before use

// How to Use \\

Spray Marifer’s DIY Febreze all over the furniture and that’s it.  The vinegar smell will evaporate after a few seconds leaving just the essential oil smell.

Now for about $0.15 per unit, you have a toxic-free, biodegradable, anti-bacterial and deodorizing fabric spray!!!!
