Food Made from Scratch
Everyone who knows me can tell you that I have a very acute sense of smell and walking inside Fresh Harvest restaurant was a real treat for the senses. The smells of freshly baked breads and pastries, simmering soups and grilled vegetables were truly intoxicating (and making me very hungry). The restaurant staff is quiet proud of the fact that all food is prepped and cooked at the restaurant – right in front of diners. There are attendants ready to serve you while in the background the chefs are doing their magic. Juices, marmalades, dressings, breads, sushi rolls, sausages, pastas, cookies, desserts and even ice creams are all made in-house.
Farm to Table, Fresh Ingredients
The reason why all food at Fresh Harvest is made on site is because Fresh Harvest is using a farm-to-table approach. They have partnered with local farmers and vendors to procure the freshest of ingredients in the area.
Tapas Style Dishes
One big difference between every other casino buffet and Fresh Harvest is the portion sizes. Most casino buffets offer huge and wasteful portions. Not Fresh Harvest. They believe in quality and not quantity. All dishes are presented in small tapas style individual dishes allowing you to indulge in an assortment of flavors. I love the tapas concept because I’d rather sample a variety of small dishes and eat them without wasting food. The restaurant manager told me that by switching to a tapas style restaurant, food waste went down 60%. That’s amazing!
Fresh Harvest Restaurant at Coconut Creek Casino is located on the East side of the casino giving their diners a great view of the lake. Aside from the great view, the decor inside the casino is casual elegant with floor to ceiling windows, gorgeous chandeliers, warm colors and lots of natural light. Is a big restaurant and the tables are amply spaced, giving diners privacy. This modern, rustic look includes granite countertops and lots of fresh produce and lots of food stations to explore.
The service was top notched; I was very impressed. Our server was punctual, attentive and our drinks were always full. Everyone had a smile on their face and was willing to recommend dishes.
